The Millstadt Police Department is currently seeking dedicated and qualified candidates to join its team. The department is accepting applications for a full-time School Resource Officer (SRO) and a full-time Police Officer, as well as establishing an eligibility list for future openings.

Positions Available

  • Full-Time Police Officer
  • Full-Time School Resource Officer (SRO)
  • Eligibility List: Candidates placed on the eligibility list will be considered for current and future vacancies as positions open up.

Compensation & Benefits

The department offers a competitive compensation package along with strong coverage and incentives:

  • Starting Salary: Base Salary + Incentives = Approx. $83,000
  • No Probationary Pay Deduction: Applies to both new recruits and lateral transfers.
  • Healthcare & Dental: 100% medical & dental insurance coverage for the employee, plus 60% coverage for dependents.
  • Paid Time Off: 10 Paid Holidays + 1 Personal Day annually, plus accruing up to 60 hours of sick leave per year.
  • Residency Requirement: Generous residency zone covering a 20-mile radius from the corporate limits of the Village of Millstadt, Millstadt Township, or Millstadt School District (excluding Missouri).
  • Additional Pay & Allowances: Longevity pay, shift differential pay, and a generous yearly uniform allowance.
