Millstadt Police Department Gets A Visit From St. James Students & Attends A 9/11 Remembrance At Gibault

On Friday, the kids and teachers from St. James Catholic School, Millstadt, IL walked to the police station to thank us for serving the community. Chief Hucke and Officer Witschie talked to the kids about serving and sacrificing for others. The school also gave cookies to the department earlier in the day. We truly appreciate this recognition.

This morning, Chief Hucke and Lieutenant Romero attended a patriotic living rosary at Gibault Catholic High School. This was done in remembrance of 9/11. Also present were first responders from the Waterloo Police Department and Monroe County EMS. We appreciate the invitation to participate, and we’re humbled by the people who came to us afterward to thank us for serving.
