Riverboat Tour Provides Close Up Look At The Ag Coast Of America

Cassie Bianculli (L.), a graduate student in the Supply Chain and Analytics Program at the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL); Millstadt resident Mary Lamie, Executive Vice President – Multi Modal Enterprises at Bi-State Development and head of the St. Louis Regional Freightway, and Semir Cejvanovic (R.), a digital marketing and supply chain management student at UMSL are pictured aboard the Tom Sawyer Riverboat on a tour of the Ag Coast of America during FreigthWeekSTL 2021, which was held May 24- 28. Participants in the tour got a close up look at the St. Louis region’s freight assets and opportunities, as tour narrators highlighted the bridges, terminals, port facilities and other infrastructure that contributes to the St. Louis region’s recognition as the most efficient inland port in the nation. Bianculli and Cejvanovic were among several students from area supply chain programs invited to take part in the tour to see this unique aspect of the supply chain and logistics industry.
